Overview
As part of the 2025 World Antimicrobial Awareness Week, the Triad Institute for Health Research and Development, in partnership with the American Society for Microbiology, invites undergraduate students to participate in an inspiring essay competition. The aim is to foster innovative thinking on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can be leveraged to combat Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and improve global health outcomes, particularly in LMICs.
Prizes and Recognition
Up to ₦100,000 cash prize to be won for the best three essays
Certificates of achievement for all winning participants
Eligibility Criteria
• Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student in Nigeria (proof of enrollment required).
• Must follow and actively engage with the official Triad Institute social media platforms.
• Essays must be entirely original — entries generated or assisted by AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar) will not be reviewed.

Instructions:
- Your essay must be 500 words.
- It must be typed in Times New Roman, font size 12.
- Submit only as a Word document (DOC or DOCX).
